So since the wife has been telling me to buy all the parts for the Mali. We went and replaced her aging 2008 Mazda CX-9 with 113k on it, (and blown door seals).

She test drove multiple cars from CX-9s to GMC Acadias, CX-5, and then settled on a 2016 Mazda 6. Its a black on black just like my first 6 I bought new in 2007 except this one is hers. I pick it up tonight for her. I will of course post more pics after I pick it up.

2016 Mazda 6 touring, Black on black. I give it 3 weeks till she has me do some mods on it. Or less.

She kept thinking she wanted to stay SUV but this won out, she came back from the test drive all smiles. Dealer came back exactly at the right price and boom.

It was a close choice for the CX-5 but she would have had to get a used one for the price range we wanted to be in. But she was flying on the test drive I heard from the sales guy( I was watching the lilun).

Yeah I thought so, Kind of why I jumped on it. Also Wife loved the car so that helped. I got her a remote start as well.

Its like a newer version of my first 6. Which was a 2007 V6 Black on Black SVE. Bought new in 2007.

We just replaced my wife’s ‘08 CX-9 (185k miles) with a ‘14 Acura MDX (with all the bells and whistles). She’s happy; kids are happy. Hopefully it lasts us for at least as many years as the Mazda!

Nice, Yeah we decided we didn’t really need an SUV that much anymore to justify one. We only have 1 kid and she does not need all the baby stuff now. I’m glad we are getting rid of the CX-9 tonight, its been a great car but the trans is starting to go now at a pretty fast rate.

We have 3 (9,7 & 3) and two dogs and put around 25k a year on her car, so this size car is about as small as makes sense for us - ha!

We just spent $2k to replace the transfer case on the Mazda. It still drives great (just took a 500 mile roadtrip with it this weekend); it’s just beat up on the inside and out and we could afford to get her something newer and nicer.

Yeah you need a bigger vehicle. I was looking at the transmission, Transfer case, Rear axles that needed to be replaced, plus the door seals were going. We drove it hard. Also 500 miles is a normal weekend for us, a road trip is 1000 or more.....

I got a ‘16 6 i Touring in October of last year and I still love it just as much today. It's a wonderful car for sure.

Yeah this will be the 5th Mazda I have bought. I am kind of sad its the wife’s. Maybe I’ll trade the Fiesta in on one at some point. Also it would look bad if as the Secretary of New England Mazda Auto Club Inc. I didn’t drive/have a Mazda.

Hahaha - yeah, it was no big deal. I did take it all the way to Montana one time!

Hope the 6 is a great car for you for a long time.

My wife and I are major Mazda fans. She’s had a ‘13 CX-5 since new and before my 6, I had an ‘08 3 hatchback for 6 years. I love them!

They are pretty great cars. If you are near the New England area you should join our group. The CX-5 was tempting but the 6 won out.
